Client Relationships
Our approach - building 'added value' into client IT projects through the development of long-term relationships.
At STCS we help our clients extract the maximum benefits from their computing systems be they large clients or smaller clients. Sometimes this help might take the form of a relatively short assignment and with other clients the assignments might be larger or overlap and run in parallel. Where one piece of work leads to other pieces of work with the same client we feel happy that we are providing good customer satisfaction.
At STCS we are proud of the long-term relationships we build with our customers. The following two profiles are examples of the way we work with some current customers.
Homes and Communities Agency (HCA)
STCS has worked with HCA since it was formed in 2008 and prior to that for nine years with English Partnerships, one of the organisations that were merged to form HCA. For HCA we provide a base level of support for one of their core systems and we provide support for other systems from time to time either because of particular expertise that we possess or to provide additional capacity. Assignments outside of our contracted support responsibility are normally conducted on a fixed price basis. STCS endeavours to have at least three of its technical staff trained with sufficient HCA knowledge to support them when required. This reserve capacity and flexibility has allowed HCA to undertake urgent and substantial work at short notice. Over a long period of time STCS has built a good working relationship with technology transfer at the heart of the relationship.
BT
STCS has a framework agreement with BT to undertake training or development assignments. One such on-going assignment is the support of a small number of related systems and to meet the needs of this assignment STCS has at least one member of staff always available to respond to unexpected events. Several staff with the relevant knowledge can also be made available for additional assignments, sometimes relating to change requests. On a number of occasions STCS has assembled project teams of up to eight staff for many months to tackle much larger BT assignments. Such teams have included a full range of skills to manage all aspects of a system implementation from project management and business analysis through design and development to testing and the management of the acceptance testing. STCS has worked on BT assignments for over eight years.
