STCS have been involved in a diverse range of HEE projects, providing multi-disciplinary agile teams to augment in-house resources and work within a multi-supplier environment.

Requirement

STCS worked with HEE to provide Business Analyst and .NET Developer resources for the Learning Hub project.

Working within a multi-supplier team including HEE’s own staff, we were responsible for conducting a rapid discovery with HR and L&D stakeholders (using remote methods) across different health and social care providers to understand existing processes and solutions around learning needs. We gathered requirements to be considered for the newly developed Learning Hub and presented our findings back to the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Team.

Our experienced senior .NET developers then helped deliver the hub itself which provides easy access to a wide range of educational resources, elearning, specialist health and care content.

Outcomes

The resulting hub supports organisations and individuals across the NHS health and social care workforce, including local government and universities.

The Learning Hub allows organisations to share a wide variety of self-managed content, knowledge and learning resources.

Requirement

As part of a project for HEE consolidating over one hundred websites into a central web system, STCS provided Data Content Officers to complete a content audit and identify the information which needed to be incorporated in the new website.

We worked with a team of HEE staff and external contractors, and liaised with various stakeholders to determine business processes in health education at national and regional levels. During the content audit we had to compare processes and forms carefully since different regions had their own sets of documents and requirements but many of these were similar and could be collated into one document which could serve all the regions. However, it was important that where a region had its own distinct requirements these needed to be recognised and added as content for the new smaller regional sites.

Outcomes

Once the content had been audited for a particular department or process STCS were also involved in making recommendations and creating new content. We provided training for end users of the new CMS system and supported the process of uploading content.
